I drew this after watching Cast Away for the first time—an old movie, but timeless and introspective. The line “I had to keep breathing, even though there was no reason to hope” lingered with me. So I drew those words as a raw little monument to that idea: how endurance hides in the small things, like just staying alive when hope feels lost.
